The Phil Collins Story Birmingham Concert reviews
This was Everything!
The first time I saw The Phil Collins Story concert was in 1983 at Madison Square Garden, 3rd row. The music changed my life at a very important time for me. The beauty of the men, the fashion, the tonality of the message! Planet Earth was the first song I saw on MTV in my small little pocket of the world. They managed to capture that Je n'est sais quois of my teenage angst. Wow!! But it was deeper than that and has still left an indelible mark on my soul. I realized Girls on Film was the first time I was a force to be reckoned with, and I would still play that song for my models walking the runway. Their July 16th concert at Blaisdale Arena in Honolulu... I sang every word like a geek. I lost my voice screaming and cheering for their incredible 2-hour performance. True artists that have stood the test of time, so humbled to play Hawaii for the first time. I was totally sore and grateful in every muscle of my body the next day from dancing. I am so happy, lucky, geekful, and shiny to have experienced their wonder again. Bravo The Phil Collins Story! J'adore!
